Jesus is teaching the crowds on what the Kingdom of God is like. The seed of which he speaks is visible within what looks like a fire. It is seen both as a seed and as a tree. Life in the Kingdom of God grows from almost nothing to something substantial and surprising without the control of man. Kingdom seems to just happen.
