This is an image of the love and sacrifice of two for each other. The melancholy of the two figures is felt as they gaze at the sun and contemplate the end of the day as couples often do. The ship heals over in the wind adding to the image the idea that life is a journey and sometimes very hard, but there is a destination. The waves may wash over and the storms blow but we are not lost. We will find our way.
