This image represents thirst for God. The figure is welcoming the presence of God in every fibre of their being. It is as though they are giving God full authority to come and go in their life. At the heart, this kind of authority given is the Hebrew idea of God’s glory. The diagonal flow from top right to bottom left is both the refreshment and the tethering connecting our spirit with God. Being tightly connected to God comes from the hebrew word for blessing. The result of connecting with God is in the gesture… one world for praise or thanks in hebrew essentially means, ‘out of our hands amazed’.
