This painting was done during the Prophetic Arts Conference at Christ Church Kirkland in 2010. The sweat and tension is palpable in the figure preparing to run. That figure is poised against a background of bright, impressionist brush strokes suggesting a crowd cheering on the figures racing. This image is all about preparedness, readiness, intentionality, and commitment.
