This painting was done during a worship time at the Nova Scotia Ashram in July of 2008. The Lion of the Tribe of Judah portrays the power and authority in the spiritual realm of the King of the Jews. The colors represent the fire and intensity of Jesus’ purpose. Against this backdrop the figure of Jesus compassionately heals and helps up a lame man. The contrast is of the two realms or kingdoms. In the Kingdom of this world Jesus moves with no pomp or ceremony, but with gentle authority.
