Pure
Acrylic 24” x 36” Titus 1:15-2:8 This painting was painted during worship at the Prayer Summit hosted by Harvest Vineyard in Edmonton, Alberta, March 2010. I was focused on the concept of being made pure in light of what was being said to men that they do not know how to be intimate for very long, neither in relationships nor with God. The essence of this painting is the white fire of purity at the core of the figure in worship, consumed with one holy passion to be Godly. Around the figure in the rhythms of brush stroke other figures echo this same passion. The word that jumps out to me is that, with one coming into this state of submission to be pure, many more will also be drawn. There soon will be many circles of individuals consecrated in purity to God for His purposes.
