There is a spiritual harvest ready. Jesus used this word picture to describe people who are ripe and ready to hear of God’s unconditional love for them. The main figures in the foreground of the composition draw us into the urgency of the harvest with their intensity, taut muscles, and focus on the work. Surrounding the harvest in the distance are countless others in various stages of bringing in the wheat. They represent the unity in the Spirit as all people regardless of denomination work together to bring into the Kingdom those who are longing for God in their life. The dove shaped light in the clouds is representative of the Holy Spirit, like the sunlight, being responsible for preparing and ripening of the harvest.
